Default Paint Filters

I have been buying my paint filters for my primer from my local HD aviation supply house. They are marked medium, come in packages of 4 and are about a $1 a package. I was starting to think that these filters might not be fine enought since I was still having some problems with clogging when shooting primer. The other day I was at Harbor Freight and I realized that they have paint filters for $4.99 / box of 100. This is quite the deal. They also have a finer screen available too so hopefully that will help with my clogging issues.

Just thought I'd pass on my discovery.

Default Strainers

Since I paint for a living the only filters I use for paint / primer are 125 microns.
I get them from Gerson or PPG

OK... had to look that one up...

125 micron filters are 120 mesh.

The HF fine filters are 100 mesh == 149 microns...

More strange units in play...

Actually the box I have says 120 mesh on it. I went to find a link and they say 110 to 120 mesh.
