Question LED landing lights

I was given a set of landing lights (LED) made in China, to replace heavier halogen models. When turned on, I get a lot of static, similar to squelch break, on any radio frequency I have tuned. How might this be fixed? I tried a capacitor installed between the power and ground wires at the light, with no effect.

Have any information on the lights?

It's probably a poorly designed switching power supply that's emitting tons of stray RF.

Default May not be possible

Try using a choke on the power feed right next to the device. If it has a ground line you can also try doing both through the choke.
This should help but may not fix the problems caused by a bad switching supply.

Default had same issue

I tried building a choke but it did not work. finally had to remove the current controller and replace with a resistor, totally quiet now. Do a search on MR16 LED lights and you will find the old posts.

Good info on this site:
