Default EGT and CHT wiring

I am wondering if most are triming the EGT and CHT wiring harness or leaving them full length and stowing the extra. I have read several articles and they seem to be about euually divided on if one should shorten the wiring harnesses.

I cut mine to length, based on the GRT/EIS4000 instructions which recommended same. They work fine.

My radio shop cut them to length, which concerned me, but at ambient they all read within a degree of each other.
