What are builders doing at this interference point? fwd top skin is binding against backing flange.

Default Get out the cutter

Scott,
I cut a slice out of the frame where the contact occurs. You can put MWH tape there but the slice worked fine on mine. On numerous RV4 pre-buys I have seen both approaches, more cuts than anything else.

we can call that a normal problem on the -4. mine does it too.

Trim off the bulkhead and forget about it. Unless you like screeching noises when you close the canopy.

Trim it carefully along the pre-scratched guidelines and you won't even have a noticeable gap or air leak.
