Default Soap recommendation

I?m looking for a readily available soap for cleaning the shipping preservative and dust off the wings.
Is there a recommended cleaner (aluminum safe) that can be purchased from an auto parts supplier?

Thanks

Default Soap

Dawn dishwashing detergent. Safe for cleaning/degreasing waterfowl and airplane parts.

I'll second Dawn. It's pure soap and many painters use it for that reason.

Default Ask your painter

My painter specifically told me to avoid dish soap, regardless of brand, as too harsh.

He suggested using a detergent made for autos. I use Meguiars.

#3 for Dawn. Good stuff and my paint ain't peeling. IIRC, Sam James DVD Aircraft Painting 101 recommends it as a pre-paint wash.
