Default Is a GNS530 backlit?

Does a Garmin GNS530 have backlit labels for night flying?
Or does the unit need to be illuminated with a panel light.

Default Yes

It has them, you do not need a panel light.

To go a step further as well, in both my twin comanche and the Lancair I didn't bother wiring up the dimming wires they include. The internal sensitivity of the unit works better than I could ever adjust it with a dimmer.
