Default Wingtip landing light kit

I started fiting the wingtip landing lights supplied by Van's (with the MR bulbs). There aren't many options for the landing light side, but there are a couple for the nav/strobe light side. The plans say to fit the nav/strobe light directly to the fiberglass. I started painting the mounting surface with metalic paint, but it looks pretty cheezy. I wanted to get the max reflectivity. I was thinking I would fit a piece of alclad over the raw fiberglass, like the landing light side, and paint it white.

What have others done?

Thanks, and clear skies.

Default landing light

Why not just polish the alclad and use it as a reflector?
Other have done that if you look at some of the previous posts.

Default Mirrored plexiglass

This is also an option. Plexiglass is available with a mirrored surface - light, no polishing involved.

Default Wingtip landing light?

How well do the wingtip landing light systems work? I see many use the Duckworks (SP?) system for landing and taxi lights. Are the wing tip systems worthwhile?
