Default Engine Ground

Where did you guys bolt your engine ground to the engine? Specifically for an O-320. Any pictures would be appreciated. I tried to search the forums...

At the bottom of the case by the accessory case joint below #3. There should be a fore/aft hole there. Don't forget to remove the paint for grounding.

On my O-320-E2A there is a convenient hole just aft of where the oil dipstick tube threads into the case. I scraped the paint off and used a AN4 bolt to attach the ground line directly from the battery.

The vacuum pad might not be necessary for the vacuum pump (I agree with you there!) but it comes in really handy for a standy alternator...

I've used sump bolts and various holes like the one behind #3 Cylinder on the case. Agree with making sure you clear it of paint!
