Default Trim Tab needed for ball centering

I have a left wing low condition and reading Van's info they recommend fixing an out of center ball condition prior to attempting any fix on the wing-low condition. The ball is just slightly off right and corrected when just setting my foot on the right pedal (1-2 lbs) to center. Where would a tab be installed, how and what size?
