I have no doubt that AUA and Chartis hearts were in the right place but am a little perturbed that they chose to settle there "contract dispute" at the expense of the policy holders peace of mind.

AUA/Chartis update
RV'ers,
I just received a letter from Chartis stating that they were terminating its business relationship with AUA and that I must select an insurance broker that they do business with.
This is not cool at all. I spoke with Mac, and he said to hang tight, he would research it and get back with everyone. Reading the Chartis letter, I need to act soon, though.
Thoughts?

I've known the principles of the old classic "AUA" and the newer management of AUA for many years. I hope they get it all resolved.
Good folks.

I am also with AUA, and have had some serious issues (such as they forgot to include one of my planes on the final policy!), but Phil Wampam (sp?) told me that the issues were all ironed out. Apparently, there was some house cleaning during the move, and the person who dropped my coverage was no longer there. I have not gone to the PO today to see if I received the same letter, but will sure do.
If the previous posters get any intel, please pass it along.

Hey Dave!
I hope they get it resolved. Jerry Kirby got the same letter, as well as one of my inferior-RV-owning friends.

My next door neighbor (RV9) got one today also. The Chartis letter listed all of the brokers they use and included an authorization letter for changing brokers. He asked my opinion and I told him it's time to move on. I dropped AUA last year due to consistently poor service.

I received the same letter yesterday. With the thoughts of what would have happened had I had an incident in the plane that ended up without coverage, I think I will be finding a broker with a proven track record.
