Default Missing rubber fairing

There should be a rubber fairing glued between the wing and fuselage; mine is missing. I can't find the Van's part number or part. Does anyone have the number?

Default Page 38 on your drawings

on drawing 38-- Row g column 6 calls it "rubber channel" and vansaircraft.com store calls is wing root channel. 10.65 plus shipping.

I'd investigate why its not there. My guess is that it was either never installed, or the wing root fairing to fuse gap was too wide or narrow to capture it. the spec is 3/16" to 1/4" pg 38 1,c

I have not installed mine (wings are off) but plan for a 1/8 inch gap and no glue (pliobond or 3m weatherstrip adhesive)

Default

I used 3M weatherstripping adhesive and after it set up good I used dish soap and water to lubricate the rubber strip so I could get it and the aluminum strip in place against the fuselage. It was a very tight fit but the dish soap saved the day.
