Default Tip: Removing Rivets

Found a technique I thought I would share since I am a semi-pro at removing rivets. Depending on the rivet size lets say for this example 1/8" diameter. I use a #40 drill bit in a dremel. I drill in the center of the shop head until about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through. What I found out is the dremel is powerful enough to drill through but it is easy to handle and tends to get steared by the pre drilled hole if you get a little off vs making a new hole. I take a pair of the widest set of pliers I can use and crush the shop head, sideways backwards, forwards until most of it is off. I then use a punch that is just smaller than the #40 hole. I support it on a table that does not give with the rivet hanging over the side. A few bangs later the rivet is out, no damage to the hole or surrounding areas.
