Default Rudder Trailing Edge Question

Quick question for all those ahead of me.

I'm working on the rudder and its time to put the trailing edge on. The plans call for piece R-1006 (Trailing Edge). That part was not in my inventory and I don't have it. I do have 2 VA-140 Trailing Edge but I think those are for the Elevator. Am I missing something or is it possible that piece didn't get shipped.

Thanks,

Cosmo

I dont have my plans with me but I believe you use one of them for rudder and the other one for 2 elevators.

If you are building a -10, one of the VA-140 is for the rudder and the other is split for the elevators. I'm doing that right now and had to look forward in the plans to find the answer.

On page 7-6 of my instructions in Figure 2 there is an arrow pointing to the R-1006 and underneath it says "make from VA-140". Step 4 on that same page refers to the R-1006 and doesn't mention what it is made from, so your confusion is understandable.

You are right. It also took me a while to figure out as well.
