Default Lycoming Price Increase

Still a long way from buying an engine, but looking at the price sheet for the Lycoming XIO-360-M1B through Van's, it looks like the price jumped from $26,500 to $28,700 (8.3% increase) on 10/17. Pretty big jump given the current economy. Ugh.

With "Lycoming Roller Tappet Technology", Aerosport offers a similar engine at $28,900...or $200 more.

Shop around, there are some hidden gems out there. Barnstormers usually has a pretty good selection of suitable engines, or even ask around your airport. Got ours word of mouth from another builder.
