Default Chicago Advice

I have a meeting in Oakbrook Terrace, IL (NW edge of Chicago). I'm looking for advice on what airport to use. I will need a rental car or cab and need tie down or hangar for 3 days. Thanks

Hi John,
You should check with Lewis/Romeoville. KLOT. It is probably about 18 miles from Oakbrook Terrace but not in bravo airspace. They also have rental cars on site. You can check with the airport folks about the tie down. I know they have new astro-ports and hangers. Chris is the airport manager who could probably get the information. Here is their web site.

There a few RV's on the field too. They have more services available than at Clow which is a little north of Lewis.

Hope this helps,
Paul

Thumbs up

I agree with Paul.
Great airport, good people and close to your destination.

Default Aurora

Another good option would be Aurora (ARR). I think you can take I-88 straight from the airport to Oakbrook.

Default Arr

Aurora gets my vote, Luminair, family FBO, ss fuel or full service, flight planning , lounge to nap in if needed. And Hertz rental cars.
