Default Shielded wire?

I'm installing the setup, but just wondering should I run shielded cable through the wing? Also should I ground at the wing rib

I used non-shielded wire and grounded at the end rib.

Is this outdated? I wonder why the ads put out by HID/LED companies are so much different. Did this fellow do something incorrect in his comparison methodology?
