Default Double fuel tanks?

I would like to add more fuel to my RV6A and I was thinking about using two sets of tanks side by side. Has anyone done this before? Is it possible and am I loading the wing to much.

Any info would be great.

Yessir, its been done before, including myself (although not flying yet). Do a search for 'Tuckey Tanks' for a good example of a well thought out way to do it.
