Default Rocket man's passing

Sorry to report passing of Pete Albrecht of Pt Townsend WA, RV and Rocket builder/flyer extraordinare... due to cancer. Remembrance video link...

Just out of curiosity....is that a Harmon Rocket 1 that he built and was flying? Great looking airplane!

I had the pleasure of meeting Pete at the BFL rocket fly-in a few years ago. I was there in my friend's Rocket 1. First time seeing another Rocket 1, somewhere there is a picture of both planes together. He built a really nice machine.

I will look. My friend Dave Burdette, the owner of the Rocket1 at the time, has also gone west. I will dig through some of the photos, not sure if I have it or if it was with his stuff. He sold the plane, shortly after it's departure the new owner put it on it's back and destroyed it. Fortunately the new owner wasn't badly hurt but it was the end too a really nice plane.
