Default It's not a 6..

.. you can tell by the rudder.
Frankly I agree with the mechanic, I trust my own work over someone else. There's nothing inflammatory in his statement. I thought it was appropriately put.

Actually, you can't tell by the rudder. Later sixes often substituted the -7 style rudder and VS. And with the gear gone, no way to tell from that. But someone did a tail-number look-up and reported that it was a -7.

From the photo it appears that the plane may be repairable, but will his wife's trust be repairable?

Default Impressive landing

Indeed this looks like a great job of getting on the ground safely - very rough looking area. It will be very informational to get a first-person account of the event. Congrats Terry, or whoever was flying.

After all, Alexander is an "F-15 mechanic". That really gives him standing among the aircraft experts, at least with the know-nothing media. 'Think how much more his standing would be if he was a "B-2 mechanic"!
