Slightly off topic, but I really like having the checklists on the 696. I have a D100 and D120 also, but I'd rather have my EFIS and EMS showing their normal stuff.

You might try checking with Dynon, see if they have a generic list, and then modify it to suit your needs.

That is what I did with my GRT's, then I printed out the list also.

As I said before, I find the paper easier to use.......but also easier to lose or misplace too.

Good to have both.

Default D100 lists

Quote:
My EFIS (Dynon D-100) includes the ability to insert five menus, each menu can have five lists - for a total of 25 pages of information. Dynon suggests that these can be used for storing checklists, emergency procedures, radio frequencies, etc. With 200+ hours on my plane, I haven't put any information in these pages yet.

What do you keep in your EFIS?
I've got the D100 and use it every flight for prior to start, startup, and runup checklists. Have other checklists in there and used other page(s) to list airspeed and engine parameter limits but find that I don't actually look at those much, if ever, in flight. Good place to keep some basic POH type data though.

Does the 396/496 have a place to store checklists?

I use electronics checklists all the time in my Europa. I do keep paper copies in the cockpit too.

The neat thing with GRT, is you can have the actual value display. For example, OIL PRESS > 50 XX XX is the actual value of oil pressure at that time.
