Default Lake Havasu New Year's Day Flyout 2011

The annual flyout to the Colorado river to meet up with the SoCal group for brunch on Saturday, January 1st, 2011 is fast approaching. This year we are going to try a new location at Waldo's World Famous BBQ restaurant located right on the field at the Lake Havasu airport (KHII). The plan is to be walking away from the aircraft at 11am AZ time/ 10am California time. The restaurant is going to have a dining area set up for us if we give them a head count 2 or 3 days before New Years so please send an email to me at rv4chick@cox.net and let us know if you are coming! As Rosie says "BE THERE!!!!!!!"
The BBQ is right next to the Desert Skies Executive Air FBO. Desert Skies Executive Air has a couple of loaner Vans they will lend us (if available) if anyone wants to go into Lake Havasu and see the sights before or after lunch. They said they will probably close around 3pm.

Taxi instructions at Lake Havasu Airport: Exit Taxiway Alfa at Bravo 3, Desert Skies FBO and Waldo's are straight ahead!

Pictures of Waldo's at Lake Havasu .

If weather keeps us away from Lake Havasu, we need to arrange an alternate location. Any ideas? For the AZ group, possible places are Payson, Globe casino, Avra Valley or Ryan or maybe a combination of the above?
