Default Natchez

Just completed a cross country in a spam can, and enjoyed a beautiful day and some food at Natchez. There is a recently opened "resturant" at the airport, open 11-2. She has a regular kitchen stove and a skillet, with a few extra kitchen items. Good hamburgers, also chicken salad, etc. Soon to add ruebens I understand.
This isn't the place for a big crew to decend on, just because of throughput capacity. It makes for a nice stop if the weather is cool enough to sit out on the terrace, but inside is not too bad either. You are up on the 2nd floor and get to look out and over the airport.

I also just stopped by Natchez. The gentleman downstairs in the main terminal building called it a snack bar. Like Wallace said, it's not big, but they will cook you a fresh burger. There are a couple tables outside on the upstairs patio seen here:

Default X-Country from Madison

We too took a cross country in a rented spam can today... Madison (MBO) to Pine Bluff, AR (PBF), was great weather, just a little breezy. Then we came home and worked on the ailerons on the 9A in progress.

The grill at PBF has just started closing on the weekends, so we ended up using the free crew car and running in to town for a quick bite. We asked if there were any experimental builders around the airport and a gentleman in the lobby spoke up and said he had a RV6 down the way and asked if we wanted to look at it. Sure we did... this was one of the best looking RV's we've seen and he had even painted it himself.

A few months ago we went to the Airport Grocery Restaurant in in Cleveland, MS (RNV). Had to be one of the best bacon cheese burgers I've ever had... just park at the south end of the runway and walk to the restaurant!

BTW... Thanks for the MISSISSIPPI topic!

Hey Paul, you keep eating those bacon cheeseburgers, you won't fit into that 9A.

Thanks for taking the fuselage stand off my hands and glad you can use. Give me a call and come by. Fitted the cowl today. More work than I thought it would be. Will be knocking on the baffle next weekend.

My regards to Beth.

Webb... the offer is still there, any time you need an extra pair of hands let us know, we would be glad to help out. We hope to have the ailerons and flaps done before Sun-N-Fun, will be priming Monday night.

Default Meridian Mississippi KMEI

Mary and I stopped at KMEI yesterday as we returned to Florida after a ten day Kansas, Colorado, and Oklahoma trip visiting family and friends.
This was a fuel stop and I highly recommend this airport and Meridian Aviation. Beautiful facility, $3.75 self-serve 100LL, free lunch, (chili dogs, soft serve ice cream, tea, coffee, etc) very attentive line staff (especially Les), your very own golf cart for transportation, and quick in and out.

Default KMEI

A year ago when I flying the new to me RV6A home, I had an alternator failure near the GA-AL state line. I was not ready to set down so I continued to cross AL. When I realized I would be landing at F87 after dark, I decided to RON at Meridian.
The service was outstanding. The FBO provided a courtesy car for the night. Fuel was reasonable. After diagnosing the alternator failure with help from the maintenance people, I got my battery charged for free and continued on to F87.

TOTALLY AGREE! One of the best places to stop for fuel/food anywhere.
