Default Dan....stop and think...

...about just how much time you're going to spend hanging from your seatbelts, for starters. You can do loops, Immelmans and split esses with a carbed RV as I have. You can also do rolls, 4 point rolls and spins, without an inverted system. Only sustained inverted flight is a no-no.

If the airplane is carpeted, you now have to insure that they stay down inverted and there is not a speck of dirt on the floors or in the airplane, because it will most likely find its way into your eyes

Furthermore, the back of a Lyc in an RV has very little room to start with and only becomes worse with a Christen system...heavier too.

Best,

Best,
Pierre,

Although it won't be the plane's primary purpose, I plan on eventually competing in IAC events as does my prospective partner in the aircraft. I've read comments that inverted fuel is not a must have for the basic maneuvers and that by installing the half raven I should be good to go. I just wanted to get an idea of the difficulty/cost of going with a full inverted system.

Again, thanks for the information. I think I could have skipped starting this thread and just PM'd you

Glad to hear it! You won't regret having the additional capability...and it opens the door for the additional challenge and satisfaction of flying the maneuvers without positive G "cheats".
