Aft splice strip rivet issue?

After attaching my leading edge I noticed something that bothered me. The shop head of the aft rivet (the one that sits just over the main spar) is extremely close to rubbing on the main spar.

The gap is so close that I imagine the weight of the tanks and/or air pressure over the wind will cause this to rub the tapered rod of the main spar.

Has anyone else noticed this and if so what did you do if anything?

I found the same issue. Since the rivet only holds on the nutplate, it's not structurally significant. I noticed it after I had fitted the first leading edge. I managed to get a thin file (model shop) on the shop head and take a few thou off to stop the interference. I then squeezed the head on the other leading edge a bit flatter.

When it's all secured with the fuel tank attached, I don't think anything will move but, you are right, I don't like the idea of it potentially scoring the spar.

Replace the nutplate with one that has both rivets only one one side.

I put some tape over the spar then used an improvised bucking bar to smash the shop head a bit thinner. It leaves about a 32nd gap now that should prevent future interference.
