Default Aircraft wiring diagram software

Hi,
Anybody know where I might find a good aircraft wiring diagram software program, preferably "free" or "cheap".

Thanks
Paul

Wink I used

pcb123 express. It is free and meant to do circuit board layouts but you can make symbols yourself and it works fine.

Hope this helps

Default Express SCH

This has come up before. The free download program called Express SCH is what I used for doing drawings for a full aircraft wiring system. It was easy to use. It is also for PCB layout design but can make some decent wiring diagrams with custom symbols as well. http://www.expresspcb.com/ExpressPCB...c_software.htm
Have fun.

Default TurboCad

I found a free version of it on line, Google. It works nice for electrical drawings and also layout instrument panel and switches. I used it to design my labels for my panel and circuit breaker panel. You can find samples of all of the Z-diagrams used in the Aeroelectric books.

Cheers

Default I used Microsoft "Word"

Word has a 'drawing' tool that can make line, circles, squares, etc. For major drawings, like Bob Nuckells', I copied them from pdf drawings using the photo copy tool (in the free Adobe reader), then used boxes of white to cover what I didn't want and added the lines I needed.

Its cheap and I didn't have to learn anything new. It's relative fast unless I did a complex drawing from scratch. Even then I could cut and paste parts of other pdf drawings. When done, I 'grouped' the drawing so it didn't shift.

It's another option, H

...too, but AeroElectric Bob's symbols didn't translate well for me and lost their grid references.

I made a set of suitable symbols referenced to a 0.20 inch grid and these are still available...
