Default RV kit cost increases over the years

I'm comparing the cost of an RV kit to another vendor. I've chosen the RV-10 as it's closest to size and cost of the other vendor. It seems RV's costs have been fairly consistent at about 5% or less increase over the years. The other vendor has increased costs dramatically and indicates cost of materials, aluminum sheet etc as the reason.

Can you all tell me approximately what an RV-10 kit in basic or QB wing/tail configuration has been. According to wiki in 4/2006 the costs were

4/2006 $36180 (basic) $46230 (QB)

and currently

10/2009 $40185 (basic) $52145 (QB)

Anyone have actual numbers for interim years?

Thanks

Don't have actual numbers year to year, but, going from $36,180 to $40,185 in 3 years is 3.56% per year (basic). Going from $46,230 to $52,145 is almost 4.1% per year (QB).

Wink Costs

The cost of everything but the kit will accelerate faster than the price increases from Van so if 3-5% causes one pause, my best advice is "you better get buildin"
