Stick grip hits panel
I've installed an Infinity Stick and find that the grip hits the panel in the full foward position. Have other folks had this happen? If so how did you remedy it? Do you need to if you are getting the Min/MAx travel on the flight controls?

I also had this concern, best advice was to wait until the tail was mounted, and the elevator travel checked.
There seems to be a lot of excess travel without the entire assembly.
In addition, at least for the CH units, you can rotate them a bit, gives not only better clearance, but is actually more comfortable fit in your hand.
YMMV with the Infinity grips.

Some grips are a bit tall....... so shorten the stick a bit!

When I changed to a different Ray Allen grip, I had to chop an additional few inches off. At least if you chop too much, a different grip can probably make up for it.
The bottom line, is that if you thumb rests on top of the stick for any controls, then the thumb should also miss everything on the panel. And this is assuming that flight surfaces are mounted and at their stops.

Wait until you have the elevator installed. The stops in my 7 kept the stick from going all the way and hitting the panel.
Also, if you are in flight and push it that far forward, you better make sure you are securely belted in because you are going neg G's very quickly and looking directly at the ground.

No doubt I'm going to have this issue
and will have to cut/chop/extend something on each stick when the time comes. Right now the issue is trial-fitting the Infinity grips on the sticks - will need some sort of insert between stick tubing and the insert JD provides with the grips. 7/8" thick-wall aluminum tubing should work, with a little lathe work possibly needed. Do I want 2024T3 or 6061 for this?

If I remember correctly he can also provide the correct bushings for your tubing size.
