Default Dual RV-7A time Needed

As my RV-7A nears completion (hopefully this summer) I've been told by my insurance people (EAA) that I will need 5 hrs dual before flying my own machine. I'm hoping there's someone in the Las Vegas area that can do it, but bottem line I can travel to just about anywhere to get it done. So anyone with an RV-7A (I assume an RV-6A would work as well) and a CFI that would like to give some instruction please let me know.

Thanks

Bill,

Do you have to have five hours in type or five hours duel instruction?

My insurance company only wanted time in type, not duel instruction, and three hours at that.

Check your PM.

I also agree with above post. I had to have 2 dual and then 5 (may have been 10) total before I was allowed to carry a passenger. Didn't matter since Phase 1 was 40.

Default Mike Seager...

is your man. He has been giving Van's transition training since 1992 and is a great guy.

Portland is not too far from Las Vegas to rule Mike out.
