Default Fuse stiffeners

It's not clear to me from the drawings whether the J-channels have to be trimmed on both sides. I'm sure I have to do it on the front where they get riveted with the 706 bulkhead flange, but I'm not clear about the 711 and 712 bulkhead side as there is no space under the flange to tuck the trimmed stiffener under like on the 706. How did people do this?

Thanks
Andre

Andre,

The stiffeners have to be trimmed on both ends. Trust me. 2 days ago I trimmed one end only, then installed the skins, F-710, F-706 bulkhead and bellcrank and then tried to install the rear bulkheads and lower aft skin before realising that both ends need to be trimmed. All had to come apart again. On review the plans also state in a small note that both ends need to be trimmed.

Not a lot of info in my journal entry on these stiffeners but perhaps this will help:

Thanks guys. This was useful info. I managed to trim the stiffeners tonight. I could probably have better but it looks okay. See a pic at: http://rv7a.tauker.net/uploads/PmWik...ead-clecod.jpg

Thanks,
Andre
