I will be buying a new MT prop, and need to decide on the colour for the blades. I like the look of the gloss white blades, but wonder if there is any issue with reflections of the strobe lights off the back of the blades in night or IFR ops. I've got strobe lights in each wing tip, and one on the rudder bottom.
Hi Kevin, I believe that MT paints the back of the prop in black only to avoid any glare. My MT prop is yellow on the front and the back is black

The technical term for the "back side" of the prop you guys talk about is the "face" of the prop.

Ditto what Randy said. The MT I had on my last airplane was flat black on the back side... er, the side that you can see from the cockpit...
