Talking First flight

Jenison, Michigan

N811AK lept off the runway into the 15 degree clear skies this morning on it's inaugural flight. I've been waiting since early January for a clear day without high winds to get this done.

The plane flew hands free straight and true. She is a -7A with an Aerosport Lycoming O-360 with a Hartzell blended airfoil C/S prop. She sports a Grand Rapids EFIS and EIS, Garmin 530W, GTX 330 transponder, ICOM A-200, and XM weather.

Thanks to all the help and advice I've been given from you folks on-line, and the members of the Grand Haven, MI and Jenison, MI EAA chapters. Also, thanks to my wife who has supported this craziness for the last 2 1/2 years.

Default First Flight

Jack,
Congrats on the first flight, I know you've been waiting a long time for the weather to break. I'm looking forward to the Saturday morning flyouts with you in the air instead of banging rivets in the hangar.

Fly safe and great job,

Gary

Nicely done.

Arguing on the internet is like having a competition to see who can hit a brick wall the hardest. You may win, but you're still an idiot.
