Default Panel dimensions.

I am in the process of trying to figure out what RV to choose. I love the RV-8 but I am worried about the panel size. I have already ordered the preview plans on the 7 but my true love is with the 8. Can somebody give me the dimensions of the panel for the 8?
Thanks
Fred

The main panel is roughly 12" high x 24" wide - not all usable due to rivets.

Another thing to consider is that with modern Avionics, you can get a whole lot of information in a much smaller space. I figure I have 3 years before thinking about the panel for real. A lot of changes and new products will come out between now and then. There is already talk of black box radios from one company which would be controlled by the EFIS. This would totally eliminate the need for radio panel space.

Go for the -8 and don't worry about panel space.
