Default FOR RENT: Atlanta hangar space @ KRYY McCollum

Hey everyone,

As most people on the north side of Atlanta know, hangar space can be tough to come by for small planes. I’m closing on a large hangar at KRYY McCollum at the end of the month and would like to create an environment much like the shared Falcon Squadron hangars at KFFC in Peachtree City, GA. The hangar is 60’x60’ with a small office and bathroom (both air conditioned). If I can find enough interest, I’d like to get 5 or 6 experimental type planes to rent and share the space. I think it would be a lot of fun to bring this type of flying and building environment back to McCollum.

Please PM me if interested and pass this on to your friends.

Thanks,

Keith

Prob not a good opt for me, as its not much more accessible to me (I live in midtown) than LZU where I'm currently hangared.

HOWEVER, I am looking for RV pilots on the north side to fly formation with. If you're interested, love to have you join us.

I'm also at LZU, hangared at Air Harbor. Not yet formation-qualified, but would like to learn.

Definitely! I’ve just partnered up in an RV-3 that will be kept at FFC and I would enjoy doing some formation flying. I’ll fly the 3 for the first time this weekend and will no pretty quickly if it is fast enough to keep up.

Not sure if there’s a group at LZU that has a formal formation teaching platform, but there is a large group at FFC that can help you with training. I’ll need to do an extensive refresher myself as I’m just jumping back in to flying after a 5 year break while my kids were in college.

My LZU group broke up . I've got one consistent wingie (hes fantastic) and a couple others that join occasionally, trying to get more activity on the north side

I'm currently tied down at FFC while LZU is closed. The -3 should work fine although positioning will be slightly different.

We fly to FFI standards and very happy to help get newbies up to speed.

I'm also interested in learning formation and willing to fly with the folks from LZU (closest to me), but also others. I'm based at Sebastian Cove (32GA) in Eatonton with my 6A. I'll email you, Walkman.
