Default Fuel Mat

I bought fuel at an FBO an a desitination airport today. The fuel truck guy asked me if I had ever seen the fuel mat made for the RV-12. I told him no. He said a while back an RV-12 landed and came to his FBO. The pilot got out with a fuel mat in hand, took off the fuel cap, and placed the fuel mat over the fuel opening and the rear windscreen. He said it was really neat and protected the windscreen from being damaged by fuel.

Has anyone on here seen these fuel mats? If so, where do you buy them?

Thanks.

Just passed 240 hours flight time in RV-12, and 10,000 hours mostly in corporate jets. I am a CFI; CFII; MEI; and a advancd Ground Instructor, CFIG; and hoping to be able to help new RV-12 owners by doing some transition training for new builders and owners in RV-12's.

I have been using tool box liner from Harbor Freight. The roll is 18” x 72”, cut in half makes 2 good sized mats, $6.99. It is very light to take along on long flights.
