Default Axle Extension - (U-1004B)

I appreciate all the responses for the "recommended upgrades". I had most of them planned with out knowledge of "the list" but with that knowledge the MATCO brakes, front axle and nose wheel mod are definite.

I also like the idea of a more robust Axle Extension. I've only found one from Kitplane Mods (a division of Aircraft Specialty, LLC).

Are there other sources for the Axle Extension upgrade?

Thanks,

Jerry

Van's upgraded those extensions in May 2019. You can see them on the revised section 46 plans

The other option is to not use the Van’s wheel pants on your main gear. I used the James wheel pants - not nearly as wide, no axle extension needed.

Thank you. Didn't know this. A pair of Van's "new" axle extensions are $135.00. Just ordered the Kitplane Mods ones for $45.00.

Thank you. I didn't know about them. I've used alot of James Aircraft products before. If it's the same James Aircraft that used to be in Florida.
