I am trying to figure out a mount for the remote Garmin GTX-45R and the ELT and see what others have done with some pictures, lots of pictures have gone by by! Building the 10, but other models would probably be similar.

For the ELT I used Van's mount on the left side, aft of the bulkhead. Avionics, I built a tray just aft of the bulkhead, maybe 8" down from the top. I'll look for a photo.
I hung mine on the fuselage sides. There are photos posted in the kitlog in my signature link.
That left most of the bottom open for when I have to crawl back there to work.

What are the advantages of installing the GTX in the rear avionics tray?
I am considering that as well right now.
As I was advised (Thanks Dave ) that there's a 6 ft minimum ant required , might as well just route the antenna forward, rather than power/RS232.
Thoughts on it? CG issues?

The 45R has blue tooth and if you mount it aft of the bulkhead you may not get a BT signal forward. I mounted the 45R tray in the sub panel behind the co Pilot’s G3X touch 10 inch. No BT signal issues. The unit can be easily accessed and removed by removing the Touch screen. The ELT mounted the same way Bob did it, but ELT is mounted on the starboard side. FYI, I mounted a Comant CI 105 blade antenna (170 dollars) under the pilot seat position forward of the spar. It’s also an easy cable run from the panel to the antenna. This one antenna does both transponder and ADSB in/out. If you go the Ted Antenna (30 dollars each) you will need both the transponder antenna and the ADSB antenna so you will need to mount two antennas and should be mounted apart from each other by at least one foot (from what I recall).

Here's what I did on my -10 - I added two angles to the floor stiffeners (I used the same angle parts as used for the bellcrank ribs), then made a shelf to match those (haven't posted about it yet): https://photos.app.goo.gl/8xam82wGRvf3GvcR8
I haven't actually done the layout of what's going on that shelf, but it'll likely be a GTX 45R, WX500 and the GTS800. The shelf on the other side (based on Van's OP-48) will have other stuff.
