Default Replacing Stripped Nutplates

So it seams an overzealous individual with an impact driver took out some nut plates in my seat pans.

I want to replace any stripped nutplates but not sure I need to invest in a squeezer.

I saw some recommendations using "oops rivet" sized blind rivets...are there any other recommendations?

An inexpensive squeezer to have is a good thing and I might even consider it an essential tool for an RV owner. If that is not a possibility, smaller pull rivets are available and acceptable.

I have used MK319-BS rivets with success.

You can use an A rivet in place of an AD. The A is softer and easy to set with no effect on the nutplate or it's use. You can set them with with altered ( smooth down the grip teeth or cover with a piece of aluminum) pair of vise grips. Or you can use these.... https://www.homedepot.com/p/KNIPEX-1...-SBA/206162134

The vise grips are a lot cheaper.

+1 on the mk319 rivet. Drill out the old alumninum rivet and install the new nutplate using the pull rivets

This is a great squeezer for $135. You will use it extensively owning and maintaining your plane. It is all you need since you are not building : https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal...clickkey=26925

CCR264SS3-3 3/32 CS blind rivets
I have a small bag I picked up from Airparts at SnF. They come in handy once in a while.

I built my RV-6 with that squeezer......highly recommended as a reasonably-priced addition to every non-builder RVer's toolbox..
