Thinking of access panels on a RV-14 build for better access as I could have extra modules if I decide to go with EFII/EI. Curious if you cut these yourself and used doublers or you had it done? Realizing the top deck area is structural so I am trying get as much info as possible before considering.
Thanks,
Jim

Unfortunately I am no help when it comes to the build as I bought my bird this way. The builder did an amazing job thinking about the access to everything as he built it though. He checks the forums every once in awhile. Maybe he will chime in.

This is not a problem. All components, backup batteries, EMS modules are mounted directly behind the instrument panel on the sub panel F-7105. If I remove one or both displays, I have good access to the system. I don't have to lie down on my back. Unfortunately I didn't find another picture so quickly.
