I guess this is why its best to wait until the last possible minute to order avionics. I have my panel installed, but wont be flying for another 3 months. It?s outdated already

Thanks,

Justin - since there will be an upgrade kit available, will there be any kind of trade in program for 1st gen GTN units?

Default GTN 650 XI

I don’t know about the new one Justin but the 650 is pretty darn fast and very bright so i am a happy camper already.

Hi Bill,

Indeed it did. The GTN 650, 635, and 625 have been succeeded by the GTN 650Xi, GTN 635Xi, and GTN 625Xi respectively. The GTN 750, and 725 have been succeeded by the GTN 750Xi, and GTN 725Xi.

Thanks,

Justin

Justin,
What is the factor upgrade process for a 10 month old GTN 625? Where do I send my unit and what is the upgrade cost. I have the latest Garmin transponder and audio panel, just need the 625 updated.

Big SHOUT out to Nick Millard at Steinair, he stopped shipment of my panel yesterday when the upgrade was announced. I will now have the New GTN 650Xi installed, can't beat the help and support from the folks at Steinair!!

Oh man, talk about proof you should wait until the last possible second to buy avionics, I nearly pulled the trigger on my whole panel suite in December... Glad I waited.

Any chance we could get pricing on the GTN sub models as well? Thanks!

These are unit only prices:
  • GTN 650 Xi - $10,300.00
  • GTN 635 Xi - $9,300.00
  • GTN 625 Xi - $8,400.00
  • GTN 750 Xi - $15,900.00
  • GTN 725 Xi - $13,905.00

There are not any upgrade paths from a GTN to a GTN Xi at this time.

Thanks,

Justin
