Flew up to Chase Memorial Field in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine (44B) to join with other pilots to protest the proposed conversion of the field into a solar-power farm.
Some 32 a/c flew in; mostly Super Cubs and the like, one brawny Beaver on anphibs, and two lonely RVs (mine and a -4)
Once places like this go away, they're gone forever.

Same here, with three approaches. I've gotten complacent about using the autopilot on approaches.

Weekend flight up the Hudson
Okay, so it was two weekends ago, but such a good flight it's worthy of mention. While we still have the privilege the wife and I took the RV-6 up and down the Hudson, past NYC at 1100'. Circled the Statue of Liberty at 900' as well. If you haven't done this, I'd recommend giving it a try. A total blast!

Great video of your Hudson River flight. I've never been to NY and except for the way you guys did it, have no desire to go. Way too much congestion for me. I have a son that lives just west of Boston so as I head north, I do hope to fly the Hudson sometime in the future.

My wife and I took our first trip in our just out of phase one RV14a to Memphis. Flew into General Dewitt Spain M01. Great service at the FBO and hanger space available for only $25 a night. $8 Uber ride to Beale street. Great BBQ and music!
