Default EarthX + Garmin G3X Touch

I have an EarthX ETX-900 connected to a discrete input on he G3X Touch.

Is there a way to test the warning indication?

Double check the literature, but if I remember right, you just put that wire to the G3X to ground, and the warning should display (the wire from the battery going to GND potential is how it "talks" to the system). In the ETX literature, there is a table to translate the timing of the off/on cycles to determine the fault. For example, 2 seconds on/2 seconds off means High Battery Temperature. Mine works great with the G3X.

I added a bit of parallel wire when connecting to the ?? quick connect terminal and occasionally (for sure at the annual) strip a little bit of insulation off and ground it to test the fault indicator. After verifying it works, I just snip the end off of the parallel piece (and tape it off) again until next time.
