Default Looking for avionics shop in S.E. Michigan

Members,

Looking for a good avionics shop near the Detroit Area.

This would be for a Piper Archer that is in need of S-Tec autopilot, GPSS Steering diagnosis and repair. Also #2 Nav/Com (TKM Michel) is a mess.

Everything worked fine 6 months ago. Already had it in one avionics shop, very unhappy with their work. Symptoms are still there. Ugh...

We are looking for a shop within a 1 hour flight from Detroit. KDET

Any recommendations??

Check with Mayday Avionics in Grand Rapids MI, I received great service on an Cessna autopilot problem that several other shops were unable to cure.

Default Avionics Shop

You could also try Beacon Aviation at the Grand Ledge Airport, just west of Lansing.

Bacon Aviation in Grand Ledge has a very good reputation, I use them for my Transponder checks. I have also heard very good things about Mayday avionics.

Preferred Avionics in Howell. KOZW. I've never personally used them with my RV but I know the Yankee Air Museum guys take the B17 there for big stuff.

I second Preferred Avionics in Howell at KOZW. A knowledgeable staff on hand and not afraid of EAB aircraft.
