Connection of Starter Solenoid

I need to remount my starter solenoid upside down or sideways. Does it matter if the connections to its main terminals (the ones protruding from sides of solenoid) are switched ?

No. The solenoid will simply draw the contacts together and current will flow through the high-current posts.

If you're using the I-terminal (small threaded post) for a starter indicator light on the instrument panel, switching the wires on the main posts may cause the I terminal to be on (+12v) whenever the master switch is on (instead of when the starter is engaged).

If you're not using the I-terminal, then no issues. ;-)
