Default New Owner cockpit temp question

Hello guys and gals, I recently picked up a HRII (N86WR) and after a few short flights have noticed quite a bit of heat pushing back from the firewall. The problem is noticeably more pronounced at lower speeds. Does anyone insulate the firewall, or have any other ideas?

There has been some serious discussion about this. Dan Horton did some testing and developed an excellent, thoughtful method of insulating the firewall. The insulation goes on the FRONT of the firewall:
