To Plattsburgh NY to see a CTA cover-band concert
I got hooked on a Chicago Transit Authority cover-band called Leonid and Friends a few months ago (check them out on YouTube). Found out they were going to perform in northern USA so I booked us some tickets for the Plattsburgh concert on August 1st. Got us 2nd row tickets, right down the middle. Shirley played along :-)
[... actually she really did enjoy the concert and the two day mini-vacation]
Plattsburgh International KPBG was an old military base, and the runway is 2 miles long. The taxiway and ramp are immense, dwarfing the runway. Friendly place and FBO is just great, located in the old control tower.

We were flying in the same area, as you know. What a terrific weekend for flying!

The weather conditions were "severe clear". Makes for very easy flight planning.

Concert
That's a good cause to cross the border. I see you are using new format of your writeup. Is it easy to build? Affordable?

Hey Vlad, it was nice seeing your compatriots. Seeing Chicago music being played by consummate professionals ... always a good cause. Then again, the threshold for a good cause to go flying is fairly low in our household. Yours is probably non existent :-)
If you have a google account, Google Sites is available to you, free. Easy to use, just choose format for pictures and text layout, drag and drop your photos and start writing. You press Publish and "presto" you have a web site.
It is somewhat limited in formats but there are people that have been able to eek out complex web pages with it. I am not that accomplished ... yet.

I’m hooked on them too. I listen to them often. I think the drummer attended the Belfast, Maine fly in a couple years ago with Vlad. Of course, Vlad says it wasn’t him. Vlad’s Russian buddy looks just like him. They play Chicago better than Chicago. Check out Ksenia!

Did you see the original Chicago at Oshkosh a few years ago? That was fun.
I found this cover band a few months ago and I have been tracking them. Thanks for posting.
They have just booked a hall in Dallas November 1 and I just booked tickets.

You cost me a couple hours sleep last night and $150 today. Stayed up watching the videos and my spouse bought tickets today to see them in Jacksonville in December.
I skipped my junior high prom to see Chicago and have probably seen them 5 or 6 times in concert since. I'm a big fan and looking forward to seeing this cover band.
Thanks for sharing - not sure I would have found them otherwise.

Yes Lyco, he knows them. He?s not fooling us. All Russki?s know each other. He definitely knows the guy from Ukraine. I think I heard that he and Ksenia?
