Default 'Bonus' hole

I made an extra hole with c-frame. Initially was only concerned about cosmetic issue, but now as I am about to start riveting....

Thoughts? How best to repair?

Rudder trailing edge RV-7. One only, rest are good.

Thanks!

Put a rivet in it, and keep getting on with the program

I did this same goof. Vans suggested I drill and dimple another hole equidistant between that and the adjacent hole. Rivet both. Add structural epoxy in the goofed double dimpled hole. Some finesse with sanding later will make this go away.

What is structural epoxy? Not that I did a double 8 hole, but a friend of mine did

Default Extra hole

Vans gave me the same advise on a similar extra hole. Add a hole either side equally spaced. Set a rivet in the bad hole to fill it. If you plan to proseal the trailing edge wedge, just smooth the proseal in the extra hole and call it good.
If you want structural eooxy, mix epoxy and flox to fill the extra hole. Stuff is hard as rock so don't make a big lump or you'll be sanding for a month.
