Default Vans didn?t drill? Aft spar center section

While finishing up the center section of my 7 I was about to bolt everything up and noticed the hole for spacer bolt wasn?t drilled to size in the aft spar. Forward is correct.

Anybody have this issue? About to bore it out but figured I should call Van?s before drilling.

I had the same problem on one side and actually had a rivet in the hole on the other side of the aft center section on mine.

Vans said to drill the rivet and enlarge the holes to correct size. So I drilled them under and reamed them to final size. Little nervous about drilling that big rivet but it was not an issue.

I too had the same issue on mine. Very nerve wracking to be drilling on the spar even with the drill press.

Agree, I drilled with my air tool, worked fine and moving on... would have preferred they did it right so I didn?t need to mess with that step.
