I took the written course many years ago, it was intense and worth it.
A few months later I did the 10 day IFR course which was excellent.

I will talk with you in OSH.
I live 1 mile from school.
Can give you recommendations on where to stay to
Avoid all the traffic.
Attended Commercial ground there and it was very good.

And I PASSED.

I recently did an 8 day IFR bootcamp with the check ride on the 8th day and passed.

It was no joke but I did it. I think I flew 26 hours total in 7 days (took Sunday off to study for the oral), exhausting. About 8 of that was in a Redibird simulator with a G1000 and the plane was a DA-40 with a G1000.

Totally worth it.

I can highly recommend Craft Flight Training @ Charleston, SC (KCHS).

I just took the course at American Flyers in May. I would recommend it. Good instructor and they cover the majority of items on the written.
