I was recently in Hawaii on vacation where I flew a Cirrus SR22.



This blog post concerns my efforts to fly in the state of Hawaii. The careful observer may spot a VAF cap and read a couple of notes on the differences between a Cirrus and an RV-7A. Read all about it at:

Ive flown some big ones and some small ones into that airport. In 1986 I rented a c150 and my young wife and I flew around the island but since then its been 767, 757, and unfortunately 737 a few times. No matter how many times I fly to the islands, its always exciting to see them appear on the horizon after a long over water flight and its always a bit tense launching into the dark going home.

I highly recommend a light airplane experience out there just be ready for gusty conditions.
