You could also consider Chariots GCS as a viable alternative for used or reconditioned forklifts. They also have an affordable rental service.

FYI: forklift capacity ratings are measured 24"from the vertical face of the forks. Old forklifts tend to tip long before they run short of hydraulic power.

Center of gravity is very important.

How high does it need to go, does it really need to roll around, and could you use two?
